Building a Fire in the Garden

Before they plant "singapore" they have to first make a big fire. After the fire burns down and the ground is cool, the people plant "singapore" in the ashes of the fire. Steven the guy in the photo with Ryan said that "singapore" grows really well in the ashes, and after seeing all he has grown, I would say he is right.
