One of the biggest problems that comes with living in the islands of Papua New Guinea is the billions of mosquitoes that want to bite us. Not a big deal right, just a small red bump that itches. Well not any more, some of those little pests can give us malaria. This is something we would really like to avoid if at all possible. On the 4th of June Sarah and I started taking our malaria medicine, so it cuts down on the possibility of us getting malaria. Other things we will have to do is where bugs spray, try not to be out at dawn and dust (when mosquitoes seem to be most active), and sleep with a mosquito net over our bed at night. Mosquitoes, next time you see one do me a big favor. Smash it, and then smash it again for all the missionaries that have to deal with this annoying little pest.

Hey guys,
with the whole no sleeping thing, I don't know if it wa because you were getting ready to leave or not. Sometimes the medicine can affect you as well. If it continues, maybe you will need to change it once you get settled and find that sleeplessness is still a problem.
